Hello friends!

Today we want to introduce you to our special guest designer!

Marie Johansson

I just knew at once what to create for this challenge! I have walked by a pile of scaffolding off cuts laying in the middle of on my way trough our basement. Many times I have been thinking that I should do something with them - and now I found the perfect opportunity. 

The wooden pieces are small - the biggest one measures 10x5 cm and the smallest one 3x4 cm. I painted them with Tattered Angels High Impact Paints in the colors I picked from this months moodboard. Then added crackle paste mixed with a contrasting color. I love the effect this creates. I wanted to use some of my stash of 7gypises Architextures products to create dimension and found the door that is just perfect. I also used wings, bottles & stars from the collection. The distress wood look on the "old friends" piece is also a piece of Architextures that I cut out. Most of the items comes from the stash pack called "Porch". The shimmery effect comes from Tattered Angels mists. I love how the projects came together!

Hello everyone!

Я давно хотела сделать атс с кракелюрными трещинами, чтобы все такие старинные, но не утратившие  былого блеска. Поэтому так радовалась нашему новому заданию!

I have long wanted to make an ATC with crackel fissures, so that all such old, but not lost the former shine. Therefore, I was very happy about our new assignment!

 

Очень люблю старые здания. Люблю разглядывать лепнину, красивые двери, замочные скважины, окна. Люблю гадать, с чего начиналась их история, что они хранят и о чем могли бы нам рассказать...Я даже фотографии собираю))

I love old buildings very much. I like to look at stucco molding, beautiful doors, keyholes, windows. I like to wonder how they started their story, what they store and what they could tell us about ... I even collect photos))

 

Первым слоем на всех атс я нанесла Prima - Art Extravagance - Texture Paste - Clear Crackle

Наносила неравномерно. Затем карточки оставила сохнуть на всю ночь.

The first layer on all the ATC I applied was Prima - Art Extravagance - Texture Paste - Clear Crackle
She applied unevenly. Then the card left to dry for the whole night.

I love this months challenge,the colors,textures and shapes everything is so inspiring.With a resin window as focal point i created a enchanted forest house theme mini canvas with lost of textures.I have used sisal,lace,art stones,mica flakes and glass beads to add texture.I wanted it to look magical,so i used finnabair metallic paints to color,and finished it off with lots of glitter and sequins for a sparkly effect.

Hello everyone!

Каждое новое задание всё интереснее и интереснее, правда? 

И наш майский челендж вот прямо самый любимый для меня из тех, что были...на данный момент;) - малые формы, тематика, текстуры. Взялась я за него с мыслями о состаренных поверхностях..... 

Each new challenge more and more interesting, isn't it? 

And our May challenge is the most interesting for me because I like small forms, theme of architecture and textures. I started doing my work with thoughts of old surfaces as on our moodboard...

......но что-то пошло не так))! В результате у меня получилась серия АТС с немногочисленным, если не сказать минимальным, декором и чистыми, строгими линиями. Надо сказать довольно неожиданный, для меня самой, результат). При всём при том, краски в стороне я оставить не смогла, налила и набрызгала-таки.

......but something went wrong))! In the result I got a series of ATC's with a minimal decor and clean lines. I must to say that a such result was a surprise for me).
