'In Night's Still Calm' by Lisa Griffith

Hello dear readers, have you seen our wonderful challenges?

I adore each moodboard and always have lots of ideas flowing through my mind.

This time I created a mixed media piece using vintage sheet music,

natural elements, and lots of watercolors.

'In Night's Still Calm'

I wanted to create a mysterious forest scene using natural elements 

according to Stage #3 of our Creative Art

challenge. I took some vintage piano music, covered it in clear gesso, and then glued

on some green fern leaves from my garden. After I covered the leaves in heavy white gesso,

I added watercolors to create a warm fiery glow, some stamping, and some twigs

and chipboard leaves.

Сегодня стартует последний и завершающий этап нашего креативного Совместного Проекта "Creative Art"! Немного грустно, но и волнительно, ведь впереди самое интересное!  Хочу напомнить вам, что линки для каждого этапа открыты до 7 ноября. Важно! В пост для 4 этапа добавьте, пожалуйста, также 3 проекта по предыдущим этапам. Это значит, что ваш пост должен содержать все 4 работы для каждого этапа. 10 ноября мы объявим победителей!

Итак, наш 4 этап мы хотим посвятить маленьким радостям - Бижутерии. Уверена, что многие из вас, только начиная скрапить, искали интересные материальчики у себя в шкатулках! И правильно, ведь это самое оригинальное и креативное в творчестве! В это раз мы предлагаем вам вновь заглянуть в свои сокровищницы и применить один материал из бижутерии для своего проекта. А также, еще один обязательный элемент в этом проекте - Блеск, в любом виде и в любом количестве. Все остальные материалы без ограничений. Вы можете сделать любой проект в стиле микс-медиа. Мы ждем ваши работы до 7 ноября!

Today the last and final stage of our joint project "Creative Art" starts! It's a little sad, but also exciting, because the most interesting is ahead! I want to remind you that the links for each stage are open until November 7. Important! In the post for Stage 4, please also add 3 projects for the previous stages. This means that your post should contain all 4 works for each stage.

So, we want to devote our 4th stage to small pleasures - Bijouterie. I am sure that many of you, just starting scrapbooking, were looking for interesting materialies in your boxes! At this time, we suggest that you look again at your treasure boxes and use one of the bijouterie materials for your project. And also, one more obligatory element in this project is Shine, in any form and in any quantity. All other materials are without restrictions. You can make any  project in the style of a mixed-media. We are waiting for your work until November 7!

So the 4 stage you must use:

Bijouterie - no scrap material

Shine - in any form

Your work is accepted until November 7

 in your post there should be all 4 projects for each stage

Всем привет! Идея моей работы для этого этапа зародилась сразу же, как определилась тема. По правилам надо использовать одно не скраповое украшения, я же вспомнила о целой куче когда-то любимых, а сейчас просто лежащих, и использовала их почти все. Бусы, подвески, цепочки, серьги, из всего этого получился интересный фон.

Hello! The idea of my work arose as soon as we came up with the theme of this stage. According to the rules we should only one Bijouterie - not from scrap materials. I remember about old jewelry, which I no longer use. Pendants, chains, earrings, all this became interesting background.

"Fantasy" Wall Hanging

When it comes to fantasy there is so much that inspire me - I love the books and has been a keen fantasy novel reader since I was a teenager. I love the clothes, I love the mystery - you can just say I love it... Making this project came down to be a bit of a trouble since I did not know which inspirational thought to pick. 

I ended up making a wall hanging with inspiration from the moodboard for this month. I picked out the colors and shapes and incorporated them in my project. 

The October Challenge

 I used a piece of burlap from Canvas Corp that I wrapped around two sandwiched pieces of cardboard to form the base of my wall hanging. I love that the color goes well with the burning sky in one of the pictures in the moodboard. A piece of dark blue cardstock got layers of Tattered Angels Mists and that transformed it with to a interesting background.
