Hi Crafty Souls!

Marie here today with my inspiration piece for the September Moodboard. I was inspiered by the books & the fantastic colors in this moodboard and decided to create a bookmark. For me fall is equal to reading - one of my favorite things is to sit on the front poach under a blanket, with a book and a good cup of coffee in my hands.

I tried to capture the mix of golden, bronze and browns when creating the bookmark. The black chalkstock bookmark from Canvas Corp was perfect as base. I added texture with a AB Studio stencil and modeling paste before blending different shades of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

The leaf turned out lovely! I cut it from a piece of cardboard using a stencil from AB Studio to get the shape. I painted it golden with Tattered Angels High Impact Paints in 3 cotes - if you look closely you can see that I used purple & gold. Layer 1 was gold, 2 purple and 3 gold again.

Olya's moodboards are my most favorites! Truly inspirational with amazing sketches, textures and colors...  When I saw September's board I wanted to create an altered project. Don't know why cause it's not my usual style but I knew I had to give it a try. So I altered a frame... hope you'll like it...

 I got my inspiration from the color palette, the textures and the elements. I tried to follow the sketch and I used the word Journey as my title too.

Autumn mood has captured the scrapers and I am no exception. So today I am with you, Svetlana Lipnitskaya and my new layout "Charm". The layout turned out to be vintage, with a lot of shiny details and decorative things. In the photo my sister, a fashionista and beauty, we are often told that we are very similar in appearance))

The basis of 7Dots paper, but the small crop and cut elements from the vintage collection Primamarketing.

Осеннее настроение уже завладело скраперами и я не исключение. Поэтому с Вами сегодня я, Светлана Липницкая и моя новая страничка "Charm". Страничка получилась винтажной, с большим количеством блестящих деталей и декоративных штучек. На фотографии моя родная сестра, модница и красавица, нам часто говорят, что мы очень похожи внешне))

В основе бумага 7Dots, но мелкие обрезки и вырезанные элементы из старинной коллекции Primamarketing. 

By the way, the background chipboard was cut into several parts and covered with micro beads. It turned out very beautiful.

Кстати, фоновый чипборд разрезала на несколько частей и покрыла микробисером. Получилось очень красиво.

Hello Mixed Media & Art enthusiasts!

Magdalena here, with my first project as a member of this fabulous, creative team. I am super excited to be here and I can promise you guys, that I will do my best to keep you inspired during coming months.

Olya's mood boards are one of a kind: always beautiful, dreamy and truly inspirational. Please do join in the September challenge here.

I have chosen to alter an oval picture frame and as you can see on pictures, I have used a lot of embellishments. I have tried to refer to the concept of time travel, using a chipboard clock face and some gears, but my main focus was on keeping this project as feminine and dreamy as possible. This is why I've used some butterflies, flowers, metal doilies and leaves. I did some stamping and used a few Lindy's colours on the background. The frame itself and most of the embellishments were painted with black gesso and coloured with Alchemy waxes by Finnabair.

To make this challenge this month-so I had fun taking magnificient Layout.
I do my matting photo for first.
After putting my embelhisements, flowers and metal. 
I put layer of gesso and after I play with brown paints.
And now I have fun with magical of Lindy's. Love love love the colors.

I add title and flowers from My friends Marta Lapkowska etsy shop.
Little splatters of gesso white with water 50/50 and is done :)

Hello Mixed Media readers!

 Katja here to give some inspiration for the September Challenge. I have altered an old album and I haven´t decided yet if I will keep it as an album or if I will hang it on the wall.

The moodboard is so inspirational, with colors, puzzle and gears.

Here I have try to catch the moodboard with castings from MitForm and chipboards from Snipart. My album is a bit rusty and also with gold shimmer and glitter. Just love the contrast with rust and glitter.

When I saw the moodboard for September challenge, I constantly got back to my childhood when we were glued to Jules Verne's authorship books about adventures and travelling far far away and were admired how brave and magnificient his heroes were! Just take a look at that weather-beaten maps, ancient books, rusty elements and gold coins! They all left me no way but got me inspired and create a project dedicated to one of the greatest authors ever.

Когда я увидела нашу доску вдохновения для Сентябрьского задания, я сразу же мысленно перенеслась в детство, когда мы зачитывались книгами Жюля Верна о приключениях и путешествиях и восхищались смелыми и отважными героями его произведений. Только взгляните на потертые карты, древние книги, заржавевшие солнечные часы и золотые монеты, словно из древнего морского клада! Все это вдохновило меня на создание страницы, посвященной одному из величайших писателей всех времен.

Here is my layout named "Around the world", as a reminiscence of one of the widely renowned novels "Around the world in 80 days". I used 7 dots studio paper from Dreamscapes collection as a base, Dusty attic and Chipboards.ru chipboard, and Finnabair line pastes and acrylics. 

Мой проект под названием "Around the world", как вы наверное уже догадались, был назван в честь произведения "Вокруг света за 80 дней". Я использовала бумагу и теги 7 dots studio из коллекции Dreamscapes, чипборд Dusty attic и Chipboards.ru и пасты и акрилики Finnabair.

Возможно вы захотите сделать отдельно работу только по скетчу, главное - обязательно укажите, чем именно вы вдохновились! Мы ждем ваши проекты до 14 октября включительно.

It's time of our new inspiring challenge! We think you are already enjoying the fall and soon everyone will become golden. We want to inspire you with the atmosphere of old and cozy So, the challenge of this month is the moodboard and the sketch - "Сolors of life". You can make any work in the style of mixed-media, most importantly, specify in the description what inspired you: like sketch, elements, colour, text, shapes, textures, material  and maybe all at once! You can create any project – Card, Layout,  Canvas, Altered Art etc etc, but in Mixed Media. We are waiting for your work of any format until October 14.
