Inspired by this month's mood board, I created a mixed media album out of mailing envelopes. I used stencils, paint, stamps and threads to embellish the cover and washi tape for spine.

First of all I'd like to say a huge Thank you to MMA team for an invitation, it was my honor and great pleasure to create a project for such a gorgeous blog! I'm absolutely in love with September moodboard - it reminds me of the spirit of travelling, old magic secrets, ancient castles and hidden rooms. So I've created an old book, where you can keep your own treasures. Hope you'll like it!

Прежде всего хочу сказать огромное спасибо команде ММА за приглашение, для меня было большой честью и огромным удовольствием создавать проект по сентябрьской Доске вдохновения! А сама доска невероятно вдохновляющая - напоминает мне о дальних странствиях, древних тайнах, глубоких знаниях, старинных замках, потайных комнатах, вход в которые обязательно охраняет змея или ящерица! Следуя этим ассоциациям, я сделала книгу-шкатулку, в которой можно хранить свои сокровища. Надеюсь, вам понравится!

Привет друзья! Наступила самая яркая, магическая пора года. Прозрачный воздух и туман, окутывающий деревья с золотисто-багряной листвой. Так и хочется, вечерней порой устроивший возле камина с любимой книгой, мечтать о далёких мирах, забавных приключениях и романтических историях. Сегодня Я, Радужная Мышка, хочу пригласить вас помечтать со мной. Меня так вдохновил баннер задания September challenge - Journey , что я не раздумывая сделала необычную книгу... Немного винтажная рамка обрамляет старинную книгу, с примятыми от времени страницами:

Hello creative souls!

My name is Adrijana (Jana) aka Paper Beauty AK. I’m 45 years old and I live with my family in a small European country – Slovenia. I’m married to a graphic designer and we have three beautiful children. We love nature ... mountains, sea, forest and animals. And I love gardening.

I've dabbled in a variety of crafts, and my true passion has always been card making: book cards & exploding boxes ... until recently (2 years ago) when I discovered the world of mixed media! Now I just can't stop myself from making a mess!

My heart jumped with joy when I saw the Moodboard for September - isn't it just fabulous! I was inspired by the natural colors: brown, red and gold on the books, the map with a compass, the metal elements and the wings of the night butterflies. Because I really love 3D projects, I decided to create an altered book in which it hides the old maps. I hope I could inspire you in some way.

Несколько слов о работе: Всем привет! Я Екатерина Белявская, и мне безумно приятно оказаться среди приглашенных дизайнеров в блоге Mixed Media and Art! Сентябрьская доска вдохновения восхитила меня своей палитрой, золотыми акцентами и темой далеких путешествий. Мне захотелось сделать разворот из журнала, скажем навигационного, и рассказать захватывающую историю о старинном корабле, полным богатств, который долго плавал по океану, и попал в идеальный шторм. Увы, он потерпел крушение, и сел на мель прямо посреди океана. Буду очень рада, если моя работа вдохновит вас!
