Mixed Media & Art blog challenge has been continuing with a mysterious and beautiful palette! I have created a card. It is a gift for a man. He is fan of "Leningrad" music band. The background is with old houses and crackles... like a St.Petersburg view...

Irina Tsigir here and I decided to inspire you with my new card which i made fo our january challenge. I wanted to reflect in my work the cold that saturate the abandoned areas.

Сегодня с вами Ирина Чигирь и я хочу вас вдохновить своей новой открыткой, которую я сделала для нашей январской доски вдохновения. Мне захотелось отразить в своей работе холод, которым пропитаны заброшенные местности.

The painted walls of houses that have not seen human care for a long time will crack from the cold with time and the paint will disappear.  I tried to reflect all this in the background of the postcard. To achieve this effect, I chose Prima Marketing inc, Finnabair mixed media products (acrylic paint- Plum Preserves).

Крашеные стены домов, которые давно не видели человеческой заботы, трескаются со временем от холода и краска отпадает. Все это я попыталась отразить в фоне открытки. Для достижения такого эфекта я выбрала миксмедийные товары от Prima Marketing inc линейки Finnabair (акриловая краска Plum Preserves).

January challenge "Coolness".

It's cool layout with very cool pic of my younger son.

I got inspired by the colors of our wonderful Moodboard and the Winter spirit in it.

Although Winter is not my favourite time of the year, I can appreciate its frozen beauty.

Hello dear Mixed media & Art friends. It's Aleksandra here with you today again to inspire you with my project for gorgeous January Moodboard. I was inspired by all the amazing nature elements on this month's Moodboard photo, by the subtle colors with a splash of dark velvet and by the word "Coolness", so I did try to bring out a bit of "frosty" touch. I made an altered woodslice. I hope you'll like it and you get inspired by it! :)

Hello MMA followers! I´m here from the today snowy and cold northern Sweden to inspire you today. I created a card in cold colors with this moths wintery moodboard in mind.

"Coolness" Jan 15 -- Feb 14

I used papers from AB Studio to form the base & layers of my card. Glimmer Mists in a silver shade splattered over the card looks like ice and the stars got a coat with the same color so shiver.

White flowers and frosty berries give the right cold effect.
